What's new

Coming Spring to North Country Canine!

MARCH starts a new round of training classes.

  • Puppy, Basic, and Intermediate start on March 20.  Slots are filling up fast, so reserve your spot before it’s too late.
  • Handling for the Show Ring is a weekly drop in class.  We have partnered up with Shetland Sheepdog breeder Amanda Inzinna to teach handler and canine the art of conformation.  This is a juniors friendly class, however it is imperative that everybody is able to control their dog on a show collar.

Next, we are adding a photography team to our staff.  If you’re interested in getting professional pictures of your dog, check out Washington and Marie Lopez at Photogenic Studios.  Add a trainer to your package to bring out the personality of your pooch.  On location (outdoor) booking starts now.  Studio booking will be available late Spring.

Speaking of photography, in APRIL we are adding an entirely new set of classes!

  • Introduction to Pet Photography is a 6 class curriculum co-taught by our in house photographer Washington, along-side trainer Hedy Starr.  Humans will learn the basics of manual camera settings, as well as how to take eye catching photos of your dogs.  The dogs will learn new poses that really bring out their character.  Classes will be held in a mixture of in facility and on location settings.  Bring your own camera, we do not have loaners.
  • Heeling Workshop is a limited curriculum geared for creating a competition heel.  Rear end awareness, drive, engagement, and lift are the main points of focus.  Dogs must understand basic heeling position with movement, this is considered an advanced class.
  • Community Nosework is going to be another new drop-in class coming this Spring.  This is geared for dogs who are at or nearing competition level.  Proofing, exterior, and vehicle searches will be highlighted here.

Last and much overdue, starting March 14th we will be increasing our daycare prices.  Discounts will apply to package deals.  Also starting March 14th, we are no longer accepting deferred payment.  Payment will be due at the time of checkout.  Prepay options are available at discounted prices.  We apologize for the inconvenience, but a variety of factors have led to this decision.
