Day Training Currently Closed

Rather than a traditional group-play daycare approach, North Country Canine offers more individualized training and playing plans that focus on each dog as an individual and their unique needs, rather than treating them as a group. This means that we can have dogs who aren't particularly fond of other dogs still enjoy our program, and it prevents any of the potential conflicts or overstimulation that comes from being in a mixed group. 

By limiting the number of dogs who are in each day, our trainers spend a lot of one-on-one time with each pup who is with us for the day, breaking up training and play sessions with nap time to make sure they're not becoming overwhelmed or stressed out. Dogs get 20-30 minutes of training and enjoy playing in our climate-controlled training room, or in our securely fenced in courtyard outside (never unattended,) as well as long, relaxing leashed walks in Marble Street Park right across the street from our building. 

Training is customized to fit each dog and owner based on what their training goals are (if they have any!) or by whichever activities are most appropriate for each dog. We at North Country Canine know that training is never one-size-fits-all for dogs, so we adjust and adapt to the needs of the individual. Whether your new puppy needs help with potty training and teething, or your overly-eager teenage dog needs to work on impulse control, or your older dog has some reactivity to work through, our trainers are flexible and will do their best to meet your and your dog's needs. 

We want to make sure that when your dog has had a busy day of training, playing, and exercising, that you get continued support once you go home. We set aside time each week for you to come in and have a private One on One class. This gives us a chance to go over what your dog has spent their week learning, so that you can use this training at home! This weekly class is free of charge to those who book by the week, and it is available at a reduced rate for those whose dogs attend at least 3 days a week.
